ARTLESS SQ pieces were originally conceived for a Government building in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The demands were beauty, maintenance, durability, and cost. The criteria were to push the pieces towards the simplest of form while achieving a double function single meaning". All the pieces in the SQ line go beyond their intended purpose and offer simple yet unconventional storage solutions. The SQ line is the precursor of ARTLESS' "indestructible" approach. ARTLESS started using 2" solid woods as a solution for furniture that was aesthetically pleasing not only to the eye but to the hand, while being nearly indestructible under everyday use. ARTLESS solid woods are hand finished with an environmentally friendly, natural oil rub, which allows the pieces to age gracefully, requiring minimum maintenance and care. ARTLESS believes the pieces you own should NOT own you.

ARTLESS SQ 18 Table is a direct descendant of the SQB bed and a further expansion of their "indestructible" group of furniture. The SQ Table's 2" solid Walnut top offers a carefree top, for coaster free living. The slit on the table top allows the base to act as a magazine and book holder. The table further expands their exploration of "single meaning double function" by acting as a traditional table, yet doubling as a book and magazine deposit.
